Louvre Museum

(Arr. 1) On our first visit, we attempted to see everything. Don't. You just can't. It's too big. View what inspires you and of course, see Leonardo di Vinci's Mona Lisa and two famous Greek statues, Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. Figure out your strategy before you enter.

The “Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre” station, which is served by metro lines 1 and 7 is located right in front of the museum’s main entrance,

Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 am to 9:45 pm

Admission

Admission prices for the Louvre Museum start at around €17 for adults. Kids under 18 are free. Buy ticket online in advance and skip the ticket lines!

Helpful Tips

Skip the ticket lines by purchasing them online. Try to arrive when the museum first opens to avoid the biggest crowds, and make sure you’re at the correct entrance as indicated on your ticket. The Louvre is a massive museum with a vast collection, so decide which sections or artworks you want to see the most. Downloading the museum’s app can help you find your way around. Wearing comfortable shoes is a must.
